Potluck is an intimate one-day workshop for wedding and family photographers. Rather than another expensive workshop that sets its speakers up as having all of the answers, we want to form a community in which everyone brings their own unique perspective to share. We recognize that when we share our successes (and failures) we all improve, and no matter where you are in level of experience, you have something to learn, and something to give.
Potluck will have a morning session consisting of group discussions and presentations from Christina and Ashley from 9:00 am-12:00 pm (coffee and snacks provided), break for lunch (provided), and an afternoon session from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm covering additional topics with time for interactive discussion and Q&A’s. Once we wrap up for the day you’re welcome to join us for an optional happy hour and continue the conversation to process all of the motivating things from the day!
Sessions will cover a range of topics including branding, curating your portfolio, business development, pricing to avoid burnout, social media tools, improving client experience, and efficient workflow. In addition to sharing what we’ve learned with attendees, we’re inviting attendees into group discussions to share their own successes and lessons learned throughout the day.
$450 for full day workshop (meals included), portfolio review and headshot with Ashley and Christina (scheduled on a separate date based on availability).
March 31, 2019, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm,
with happy hour to follow.
At FLOCC Studio in Oak Cliff (Dallas, TX).
To insure that everyone at Potluck has a rich and invaluable experience, we are limiting this session to 10 seats.
Hosted by Christina Childress and Ashley Turner, two wedding and family portrait photographers who value community over competition. Christina and Ashley started dreaming up the idea for Potluck after discussing other workshops they’d attended and what they wished they could find (something more intimate, less expensive, and with tangible ways to improve business + revenue, not just a lot of inspirational talks with few actionable steps). Very quickly that conversation turned into planning a workshop of their own.
If you find yourself feeling burnt out from the hustle and still not earning what you want, or constantly stressing about not having enough work, defining success by comparing instagram followers, or having “ideal clients” with a certain style for your portfolio, this workshop is going to fill you up with new perspectives and ways to make your business sustainable. If you’ve learned some good lessons along the way and want to share with others as well as see what they’ve learned which could offer you new insights, please come have a seat at the table.
